This event was organized with the aim of enlightening vulnerable members of society about the usefulness of acquiring productive skills in ensuring self-reliance and wealth creation as an alternative to irregular migration. It was held on the 4th of August, 2018 at the 1000 Lecture Theatre of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Benin with Barr. Emmanuel Usoh, the former Honorable Commissioner for Wealth Creation, Cooperatives and Employment as keynote speaker. In his keynote address, he stressed on the need for young persons especially to acquire additional skills, “SABIFICATE”, as opposed to just having a CERTIFICATE so they can be self-employed and even be employers of labour. The program also featured outstanding entrepreneurs as panellists in two seperate interactive sessions with special focus on migration and entrepreneurship development.
